In my family it's when one of the males in the family decides he wants something of mine and takes it.
According to mom it's ok that they do that and I need to be "more gracious" about it. And "learn to share" HOWEVER if they pay for something and I want to use it - not keep it, use it - they are also right in saying no.
This time it was my nephew taking things I bought for my work lunches for his fucktoy. So I get to go hungry because he took what wasn't his, and wasn't offered. But I need to be "more gracious" - how about other folks learn to ask before they take..or just not go into other folks stuff to begin with. Oh and it wasn't even the cheap stuff they stole..it was the expensive, organic stuff.
Yeah I "love" my family.
I swear when I get another job, I am moving and not leaving a forwarding address.

Some Friendships need to End
I went through my LJ and FB accounts and deleted a few folks from my friends lists. Some people are too far away from what I can tolerate, and not that has nothing to do with your sexuality. Get over yourselves folks - you aren't better than anyone and the ablist attitudes aren't worthy of you. Or rather I am not interested in friendships with folks who think they are better than others based on physical/mental abilities.
For that matter I am equally not interested in your friendship, if you think your better, more worthy or more entitled because you are disabled either.

Pursuant to yesterdays post.
http://www.nichd.nih.gov/health/topics/developmental_disabilities.cfm It's still used today - so you can't even claim "It's archaic."

I should stop being surprised but
If you have to use a disability as an insult then it says much more about you than about either the people living with the disability or the folks you are trying to insult. AND it tells me much more about you than I want to know.
Including the fact that you use words that you have no idea what they really mean.
