As you know, I have been struggling with music for two years. I have had a couple of great allies in this for all of that time. One is Trish, My Sister in Law and the other is Mac Morin.
Trish is easy to repay. We go back and forth on encouragement and help all the time. Her help means the world in this and I hope my actions show that, I've tried to help give her kids music.
Mac, on the other hand, is much harder to pay back. So I am trying to pass on that encouragement to other people in the form of one of my clients at work who plays "air violin" and the students of my best friend, Anne in Philadelphia.
Anne's students have by far gotten the most in the way of stuff from me in this endeavor. I sent one guitar a couple of years back and I just sent three more from Amazon.com this week. I'll be sending three more later this summer. Why? because these kids are poor and likely would not have an opportunity to learn music if it were not for Anne teaching them. But she does not have enough guitars so I am trying to help, Because Mac encourages me and I can never pay him back for that, so I am trying to encourage others. I hope that will be enough to say "thank you" to Mac, if he ever finds out.
